WHAT WE BELIEVE
Here at Godtrepreneur we believe in the gospel. Not a prosperity gospel, not a “speak things into existence” gospel and not the “works based” gospel. We believe that we are saved by grace, through faith. That Jesus was fully man & fully God. That He lived a sinless & perfect life. That He was crucified on a cross. He was buried and then physically resurrected from the dead. In believing in his life, death and resurrection we can trade our imperfect life for Jesus’s perfect life. In doing so we can have a relationship with God not only in this earthly life but carry that relationship over to the next. Thus enabling us to spend eternity in the presence of the Creator of the universe.

The 5 musts of a Godtrepreneur.
1. ALWAYS KEEP GOD FIRST.
As entrepreneurs we can become so focused on our goals that we tend to “save God for when we have the time”. We prioritize our businesses over our much needed time with God. One thing we tend to forget is that nothing happens without God’s approval. No matter how hard we work, how much we focus or what we are willing to sacrifice… if what we are doing is not in God’s will then it will always be in vain . We worry that if we don’t focus all of our attention on our goals that we won’t be successful, our families won’t eat, our empires will crumble and the entire world will probably explode because we took some time off. We have to remember to be Matthew 6:33 Godtrepreneurs.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

2. NEVER MAKE AN IDOL OUT OF YOUR BUSINESS.
Entrepreneurs are also usually extremely creative. Most of the time we are running a business that we created ourselves. We have either created a product we are passionate about, a service we love providing, a team we enjoy working with or a culture we enjoy being around. We end up falling in love with what we create. There is nothing wrong with falling in love with what we have created. It’s important to be in love with your work! Where things get messy is when we start worshiping what we have created instead of the one who has created us. Anything that is worshiped over God is considered to be an idol. Trust in God’s provision. Do not put all of your hope and trust in what you have created. It can be lost overnight. But God is never lost. He always has been, always is and always will be. What you have created will never be able to love you back the way that God loves you. Remember that every day you have to continue building your business is a day that the creator of the universe decided to breathe breath in your lungs and wake you up. He is deserving of all your worship!

3. NEVER MAKE MONEY YOUR GOD.
Money is important. Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise. Money provides for your family. Money pays for hospitals, orphanages and schools to be built. It can be left as an inheritance to your loved ones (Proverbs 13:22). Without money it is extremely difficult to survive in today’s world. We must always remember that God does not financially bless us so we can bless ourselves. He blesses us so we can bless others and build His kingdom. He expects us to be good stewards of the money we have. In becoming good stewards we are to use our resources to continue God’swill above our own. We sometimes become so obsessed with the pursuit of money that we even become angry with God when we don’t receive what we believe we are owed for our hard work. Sometime God is saving us from our own destruction by not financially blessing us. Take a moment to think about this… if 10 million dollars suddenly hit your account today could you be 100% confident that you would be a good steward of that money? If the answer is not a solid confident YES, then maybe there are some things you need to learn before that can happen. We cannot treat God like our sugar daddy. If we are only happy with God when we have money but we are upset with God when the bank account is looking slimmer than we’d like then we are making money our god. We are to love God for what has already been done for us. Our salvation in Christ is all we truly need in this life because it’s the only thing that will be carried on to the next. Love God for what has already been done, not for what you expect Him to do. If it is His will, it will be done.
“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” 1 Timothy 6:10
4. FOLLOW THE LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST.
Jesus is the leader of all leaders. He started with 12 below average individuals over 2,000 years ago and is still influencing the world we live in today. That’s the type of longevity we should all be working towards. Building our brands with love, integrity and passion. Now we are not claiming that our own personal businesses can compare in anyway to the ministry of Jesus Christ! NOT EVEN CLOSE! What we are saying is that there are many principles we can learn from they way Jesus leads. We can take those principles and apply that type of leadership to our lives. In Jesus’s earthly ministry He lifted people up, was compassionate, was a relationship/team builder, gave authority to others when it was time and was extremely strategic with His mission. I think we can all agree that those are some incredible leadership qualities to have. Jesus’s intention was never to just create followers. Jesus created leaders who then created more leaders. He did this through being a servant leader. The most successful entrepreneurs in the world today are the ones who add the most value to others. Let’s be servant leaders.

5. BUILD CHRIST’S CHURCH WITH MORE INTENSITY, PASSION AND DEDICATION THAN YOU BUILD YOUR BUSINESS WITH.
This may be last on the list, but it is definitely the most important. We as entrepreneurs want to reach as many people as we can with our business ideas, products, services etc… but the most important service you can provide for somebody is guiding them towards a path of eternal salvation. With everything that us as entrepreneurs have going on in our lives we may think that building Christ’s Church can take a back seat to our own or “left to someone else”. But how can we expect God to build our “kingdoms” if we are not willing to make some time to build His. This doesn’t mean you have to go start a church, start a non profit organization, give up building your business or anything of the sort. This simply means equipping yourself with the tools necessary for guiding people to Jesus. Bringing people to salvation will be the most important accomplishment of your life.
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20
